                 Organization (ISRO) on the behest of Indian Coast Guard


             Communication Via INSAT-3A, Indian Satellite


             The system when activated, in distress situations, gives precise GPS
                 coordinates of the boat to Coast Guard Maritime Rescue Coordination

                 Centre, Chennai which alerts the nearest ship or boat of coast guard


             Full Coverage of the Indian Sub-continent


             Working on Indian Disaster Management dedicated frequency of 402.65
                 to 402.85 MHz


             Each equipment has a Unique Identification Number


             Registration required only with Indian Coast Guard, which is the
                 authorized Search & Rescue Coordination Authority at sea in India


             Transmits continuous alerts for 24 hours once in every five minutes


             Equipment displays time of activation, Boat ID, type of emergency and
                 position of boat along with the audio alarm at the receiver's end
